Did IDs and added 4 names. I started yesterday but was stopped by hkmdb problems.

Corrected wrong Lin Ke-Ming to Ng Git-Keung

First of all - Thanks to everyone who makes cast screenshots - but in that case the German say: Less is more ! Myself I prefer quality over quantity.
I don't know: Are You way too diligent to offer up to 6-8 pictures of some extra who has onscreen time of few seconds in total or much too lazy to sort all those out? (Remembering my efforts to offer the best pic and how tuff it was to decide sometimes which to upload and which to delete)

Myself I have no mood to go through such a overlong cast page. Sorry for being frank. There should be some self-restriction even when beeing an enthusiatic fan.
I really hate the idea that the lead actor has a single portrait and the "mute" extra got half a dozend which maybe never get an ID even... Some of those faces maybe never acted for real, but just as wallpaper background decoration. Is there really a need for those huge number? I really have sympathy for somebody (like Michael Kistner) who makes some additional pictures of glamourous beauties (I would too) But some rotten unemployed vagabonds should not make it more complicated to find some fading or upcoming actors. Some people might hate me for that, but really I enjoy those galleries and many times I thought: My God - the last 20 useless nobodies spoil the whole gallery...
OK - I know some people will argue about that. If You really watch a lot of movies You can surely sense who is actor and who is a pedestrian who
just want to poke his nose in the camera once in his lifetime...

In STSH's defense (and please correct me if I'm wrong), I believe his galleries are mostly for the purpose of fleshing out cast data.

You're not wrong, Gaijin84.
If there are duplicates, it is because it is less than 100% apparent that they *are* duplicates. I risk posting potential duplicates, so that others who know the (mostly) guys better can determine for sure that they are duplicates, then delete the poorer quality images so that only one remains.

As for quality versus quantity. Sure, better quality images are what we should strive for. But sometimes the person simply doesn't get a good image onto the screen. Cast completion and inclusion have a priority on this site, and that which assists these aims is encouraged.

As for multiple images of the stars, take a look at the images I captured for Reincarnation Of Golden Lotus.

I have posted a number of suggestions about 'filtering' options. That is, where a movie has, say, more than 100 images, switches to show only some of those images e.g. stars only, high quality images only. This would be especially useful for Spiritual Boxer, which has 400+ images.

Heinz, I appreciate your frankness, and have sympathy with your views, though I disagree with some of the finer points.

I agree with Heinz. I think it is pointless, wasteful, and very distracting to post photos of background extras.

I would prefer a 'Credited' tag to show clearly the original credited lineup, then one could decipher the rest are made up of uncredited supporting cast and extras.

I think this is a great idea, but instead of a tag on each one (it could get very busy), the credited actors should simply be made bold or italicized. That would solve a lot of issues.

dear STSH
Thank You for Your reply - actually I am happy with it since I don't wanted a start a "war" about different point of views. I know it is not easy to decide myself. Actually I wanted to post it as a reply to the 450 pics of Spiritual Boxer but just when I wanted to upload my message the HKMDB was "down" and later I attched it to the wrong topic. Sometimes I see the small children in dozends in a cast gallery and ask myself: Who knows - maybe some of them will be actors in future...? But sometimes I am very unhappy with too much faces of people we probably never know. There are plenty of galleries with 150 pictures who have only 20 ID's. My god.
It will become more difficult nowadays with no big studio having actors as employees for decades. It makes more sense with Shaw Brothers movies though which might have recruted people half their lifes... Anyhow I just thought its a sign of madness to load up 450 pics to a movie which no big cast (compared to movies like 14 Amazones). I hope You later sort some out after it will be needless to have those many...
Thank You still for uploading and making them - peace brother !!

Yes, you're with me. I'm showing that images 1 and 2 are the same, and 3 and 4 are the same.
