My first nomination for an "unknown actor" page goes to this guy. We call him "Unknown English Actor (1)" and create a page for him, with these movies as his filmography. We also link known IDs to this name as well.
Anyone second the idea?
I tried to revive this up in the
Suggestions forum as as well...

Anyone have an opinion on this?

I'll second it. I think it's a great idea to sort of
pre-organize a lot of these mystery people.
I noticed Bob was OK with it in that other thread as well. Perhaps that's carte blanche?

Brian - It looks that way. I think we have STSH, Bob and others agreeing.
If no one objects, I'll create this first Unknown ID in 7 days and link the respective films and pics.

Make it so!
Have we agreed on a naming convention? Is it: Unknown (n), Alias - nickname?

I think something that indicates that the person is unknown is best - if we have nicknames it could be confusing for people looking at cast lists for the first time. I submit we use the "Unknown Actor (1)" naming. If we want to we could also add in some other kind of general identifier like "English", "Caucasian", "Female," etc.

Maybe an overview page for all unknown actors added together with one significent picture will be nice?

Definitely - eventually a consolidated page is a must.

sounds like a consensus on this - I'll knock the objection time down to 1 day - I'll make this first guy this weekend

I meant using the Alias field option to put something usefully memorable (and searchable) rather than trying to remember if English Mo was Unknown #7 or #8. All optional, but handy for aggregating by a group of editors. Just a thought.
e.g.,
Unknown (7)
Aliases: English Mo

ok - our first unknown actor filmography is created.
http://www.hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=39281&display_set=eng
If there are any changes someone feels are appropriate to the setup, please bring them up now before we create many more of these pages...
I think it looks pretty good so far.
One quick question, in the
Dream of Desire (1989) cast list these is someone named "Uncle Sam." Is this another alias for this actor?

This is a big progress IMO. We should make names like this:
Unknown SB 70's Actor 01 (for example)

Great idea.
I add my first unknowns when I find the time. I have many unknown lists with at few times over 100 movies for one person!!!

I posted the credits for that film here in the forums. "Uncle Sam" only appears in English in the opening credits. No Chinese equivalent. Clearly he rated a mention at the beginning of the film, but I never could figure out who he was.

For some reason this ID from
Inter-Pol (1967) was credited to English Mo:
removed the ID - is this supposed to be Unknown SB Actor (1)?

Did now correct ID at INTER-POL.
Such mistakes can happen when you add names to many, many movies. Sorry if it was my mistake.

Another movie should be added to his filmography: Vampire family (1993)

His portrait appears on the image gallery
