Could it be kind of mixed up with Chin Ping?
Otherwise after acting in 1962 why she retired for another 10 years?
Second evident is: In 1972 (!!) , she joined Shaw Brothers as an actress

Heinz' is correct as the likely candidate, prolly still the ballerina intern attending the studio's Southern drama academy. Even if it were possible to be Chen Ping, she would of been around 12-15 years old so zero in on those screen-caps for the adolescent roles.

BTW, Chin Ping's a tad older than Chen by 2-4 years so I have a bigger problem with Chin's birth year as listed here:

That would make her over 40 at the time she may have appeared in 'Dream' and near 50 by the time of her last film 'Price of Love', NOT! We can blame the folks over at Celestial or HKFA for this gaff.

Back to Chen Ping. Yep, she didn't leave her Taiwan home for HK until the early 70s. She's known to have been doing racy Taiwan Indie exploitation since her late teens (like Shu Qi did) and those handful of rare credits aren't listed in any of the DBs...yet.

DVD? I doubt it. A little gravity here: if a big studio like Shaw Brothers with their resources can't even salvage 100% of their vast library, imagine the archiving efforts for some flash-in-the-pan 35 year old Taiwan Indie title (legit or triad) bearing little mainstream cultural value in academic circles & rarely seen or never left its own shores. I may have overstated myself with the Shu Qi comparison but she did blossom during the video age with her digital cheesecake pin-ups. Chen Ping's exposure at home was modest by comparison so my knowledge of her filmography pre-'Kiss of Death' is like you say via my memory banks, mostly supporting roles i.e. mistress, bimbo, prostitute #3, girl in shower, etc. You guys who have means to access the Taiwan DBs can at least ID some of those titles. I haven't checked but if her pre-Shaws stuff ever got shown in HK, there may be a good chance HKFA have them catalogued; otherwise hold that thought, I may have one or two old Taiwanese memorabilia items somewhere.

So I have created a Chan Ping (2), for the sole credit on the 1962, until and unless it can be proven to be someone else.
