Well, something I've noticed is that as a man ages, his ears begin to droop. For women, it's...other parts. So, I wouldn't use that as necessarily a criterion.

So that doesn't fit your story, but the ears are not the only things that make me think it's not him, but the other things are not so easy to explain.

could be Fung Yun Chuen, because the actor and that name are in a few movies I've seen. In the "Spies" cast list is a Fung Yung Tong with similiar chinese charaters. A alternate name of Fung Yun Chuen?
