Two Faces
A few more images to ID.
This one was a complete rip off of Fargo, and a horrible one at that. They hadn't even bothered to change anything. Filmed in Malaysia it seems, so I wouldn't be surprised if most of the actors are from there.

That makes two of us who've actually seen this movie now! 
The producers of this, Billy and Tommy Chung, and sometimes Francis Nam (who co-directed this), seemed to have a little Malaysian cottage industry of DTV remakes going for a while in the 90's. Besides this, their HIGH TENSION CRIME (with Ng Shui-ting, who's also in TWO FACES) was a direct rip of THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, only minus any overt religious elements and their IMAGE SEARCH, with Mark Cheng and Wong Yat Fei (again!), lifted liberally from SHATTERED. I suspect they made others, but I just haven't got around to them yet! 
Nam also ripped RUN LOLA RUN for RANSOM EXPRESS.
Nice to finally have a gallery for this one. Compared to the source material, it can't hold a candle, but on it's own, I didn't find it too offensive. There's a certain level of quality that these guys establish in all of these productions - kind of a low-end TV movie look (Chinese TV, of course!), which I think is acceptable for these shot-on-video productions, and preferable to some of the sloppy camerawork and home video production values that plague titles only a couple more rungs down the ladder. Plus, ripping off superior movies still gives the actors something a little better to work with compared to some of the other junk being thrown their way at the time. Still, I wouldn't give it high marks . . .
