The Wa Yi Trading Company is where my lust for Hong Kong cinema kicked into high gear around 1997. Prior to that, I'd been scrounging Hong Kong titles in bits and bites over the course of about 8 years, and had barely been able to scratch the surface, in large part due to my location at the time (far from Toronto), and also due to the costs of getting overpriced laserdiscs and VHS tapes by mailorder.
