| Famous movie director, screenwriter and photographer Law
Kwan Hung around 4:00AM Hong Kong Time on the 8th passed away in Ontario, Canada at the age of 90. Law Kwun Hung started his film career at 17. Industry insiders called him the ancestor who went from photography assistant to director of photography. In the 50s he started to work with master director Zhu Shilin on many classics, including FESTIVAL MOON, THE DIVIDING WALL, BETWEEN FIRE AND WATER, YEAR IN, YEAR OUT, and others. Later he personally wrote and directed numerous feature films like SOPHISTICATED and OCTOBER BRIDE as well as many documentary films that displayed the new face of the Mainland at the time. Law Kwan Hung has worked in film for more fifty years, participated in over 100 film productions, and made significant contribution to Mainland and Hong Kong cinema. (HK Top Ten Central)
