Chao Hsiung is an actor with great talent and experience. He subsequently starred in a series of martial arts movies directed by Hu King-Chuan and Chang Cheh. These films included "The Magnificent Trio", "King Cat", "One-Armed Swordsman" and "The Angel Strikes Again". Such movies helped to establish Chao's status in the martial arts movies. Chao played as a main actor in "The Golden Lion" which was directed by Ho Meng-Hua. Between 1955 and 1978 Chao starred in about 30 movies, most of which belonged to the martial arts and action genre. From 1979, his screen appearances were minimal.
