Biography

	Although she wanted to be a painter, she finally became costume designer, debuting officially in "Ran" by Akira Kurosawa. After being awarded with an Oscar for this movie, Wada worked with other reputed japanese directors as Nagisa Oshima, Kon Ichikawa and her future husband Tsutomu Wada ("Harimao", 1989), as well as Peter Greenaway. From 1993 she began to work actively in Hong Kong movies.
