Biography

	Was selected from more than 10,000 actresses to star as Wang Jiazhi in Lust, Caution (2007). In 2008 Tang Wei alone was blacklisted by the Chinese government for her participation in the controversial Lust, Caution (2007). This included the pulling of her endorsement ads for Ponds skincare products in China, a deal reported to be worth nearly a million dollars (US). Members of the China's State Administration of Radio, Film & TV (SARFT) were reportedly censured for allowing the film's release.
