Born in Osaka City, Japan. He and his twin brother Yoshinori joined a children's theatre company at their parents' request. In 1966's Ninja Hattori-kun, they took turns playing the lead role, with one attending school while the other was filming. They retired from show business after the 1967 broadcast of Monster Prince.
