Summary: Interesting

Interesting film about two Chinese children, Chu-Chu and Xiaoman, who are sent to the Ivanov school in Moscow in 1940, shortly before the invasion of the country by German troops. Some students are captured by the Germans, and some of them are executed, while others must survive using their cleverness and trying to hide.

The boy, Xiaoman, will die like a hero in a suicidal act, and the girl, Chu-Chu, is tattooed on the back with Nazi symbology. Excellent performances of Chinese and Russian children. Some inspired nice scenes, which collide with others of Nazi barbarism. Correct direction by Ye Ying.
