I guess Frankie Chan was so pleased with his music for this film that he decided to remake it 15 years later as A WARRIOR'S TRAGEDY (aka Invincible Power of Kindness), and Ti Lung liked his character enough to play him again in the remake.

The plot is typical Chor Yuen wu xia, a highly convoluted tale of treachery in the martial world, with numerous twists and turns before we find out who everybody is and what their real agenda might be.

Ti Lung, Lau Wing and Lo Lieh all have good characters that suit them well, with Lo Lieh shining especially - like the moon, one might say after seeing this film! Everybody else is paper thin.

Production values are suitably high, with the usual lush visuals. The action is mostly forgettable, but competent.

Pretty good stuff!

Summary: Better than expected

Though the plot is confusing at times (there are too many names to remember and who's on who;'s side again???)

Ti ling, i assume is playing the same character from THE MAGIC BLADE as he uses that twirling sword once again. He and 5 others are asked to attend a meeting but why does there appear that people want to make 6 coffins for?

Ti lung soon finds out that he was invited with 6 others as the owner of the house believes someone wants to kill him, with a 20 year old grudge. But who is it? The plot is not as simple as this and various other characters pop up, including Lo Lieh, a hired assassin who wants to keep ti lung and lau wing alive until someone pays him to kill them. They fight various people until the twist at the end is revealed. The ending, will give u a good laugh!!

A lot of people will find this confusing, in fact i was!! But once you get the idea of what is occuring, you can go along with the ride. Lo Lieh STEALS the show with his assassin character, well he definately steals the ending, a great lasting image, you will know when you see it
