Reviewed by: Brian Thibodeau Date: 02/14/2006 Summary: Slumming with Dick & Kara Patchwork mess deals yet another deathblow to the career of sexy Shaw Bros. vet Kara Hui, here playing a cop investigating her uncle’s alleged involvement with drug dealers. In fact, the guy’s being “revenged” on by the son of the man his father killed in footage from an unfinished - but superior looking - Dick Wei movie set in the 1950’s, a guy who’s not above pimping his own wife as part of his evil scheme! At least they choreographed the martial arts sequences. Michael Kamen’s bombastic score doesn’t help, lifted as it is from the DIE HARD movies and blaring as it does through even the most touching moments. Stay away. Reviewer Score: 2
