Budget swordplay with David Chiang, notable for presenting its wuxia action like a kung fu film from the same time. Some of the earlier action shots are restricted (beyond just the cropping of my print), with a greater focus on intricacies instead of balletic flow. To see this much 2-beat, classic kung fu choreography in a swordplay epic is refreshing, but not at all uncommon. Chan Chuen has choreographed similar scenes in Killer from Above, Shaolin Monk and others.
