Summary: Muddled waste of talent

Some great actors and good fu talent spend lots of time getting spun around and getting nowhere. The choreography in the first half is pretty awful, mostly consisting of obviously pulled punches and slow stop-motion animation technique. Don Wong stomps around looking righteous and spends a fair bit of time keeping the two boy pickpockets from misbehaving. The two boys are mainly there for comic relief and, due to the inclusion of the irritating Yeh Hsiao I, are unfunny and annoying.

Chan Sing and Chang Yi look menacing, but don't have enough time on screen.

Things improve a little by the halfway mark. The choreography picks up, but not enough to hold my interest. I switched off after 40 minutes.

Not good enough.
