Boring story and rubbish film. Except Yuen Biao and Ng Man Tat there is not anything interesting.

I can't remember too much of this movie, but i remember it was very touching!! I was moved by this movie and maybe i shed i tear..........

The cooking scenes with Yuen Biao are first rate!! These scenes make him look like the REAL God of Cookery!!

A good family movie to watch!!

Summary: Underrated.....

Prior to filming his acclaimed period drama The Bride With White Hair, director Ronnie Yu delivered this enjoyable, highly underrated gem which unfortunately has been all but forgotton. Ng Man-tat, Yuen Biao (in a non-fighting role), and a young Leon Lai Ming all headline this pic, with martial arts stars Jimmy Wang Yu and Leung Kar-yan each making appearances in supporting roles. The comedy hits the mark and the actors give delightful performances, but Yuen Biao's acrobatic cooking scenes are most definitely the highlights of the film. Highly recommended to fans looking for something a little different.

Ng Man-Tat is the kind-hearted owner of an apartment/restaurant in apoor section of town who takes in two visitors. One is his uncle, Yuen Biao, who turns out to be the most acrobatic chef you've ever seen, and the other is Leon Lai, a runaway rich kid who finds the family atmosphere of the neighborhood much more appealing. A nice, warm-hearted Lunar New Year movie highlighted by the incredible scenes of Yuen Biao preparing meals as only he can.
