Summary: Worth a look !

I thought it was a pretty good "Poltergeist" rip-off!
Lags a bit in the middle but the
ending is pretty cool!
Nice to see a "thriller" with a serious
side instead of bad comedy!
I have not seen the sequel(which everyone seems to think is better)
but this has it's moments!

Summary: Not bad ghost horror

The face-ripping scene from Poltergeist is copied here, and this film may've been inspired by Spielberg/Hooper's 1982 flick.

People get tossed around with eerie effects in a manner supposed to be spooky, but it's mostly just pretty stupid !

Quite visually entertaining, and even has some quirky moments, such as when a chicken is tossed over a fire, to appease the spirit - the only time, so far, that I've seen a flaming stunt chicken !

Overall - So so, and far inferior to the terrific sequel.
