Grim, grim tale of a man's weakness leading to his spiral downward.

Family man Chau Man (Ng Cho-Fan) is given a promotion at the office. At an evening celebration, his colleagues sets him up with party girl Lily (Lee Suen?). Waking up the next morning in bed with Lily, he is now in her clutches. Soon, Chau Man is lying to his wife (Pak Yin), embezzling from his boss, eventually losing his job.

More woes pile up as there is murder, suicide, imprisonment, and more deaths by film's end. We last see wife Lan abandoning her baby daughter at a doorstep while she contemplates suicide.

Wong Man Lei plays the mother.

Simply gut-wrenching to watch Ng Cho-Fan as he gets deeper and deeper into woe.
