Summary: Delightfully mesmerizing.

Hong Kong cinema stalwart Stephen Chow returns after 5 year absence with a charming, terrifying new version of the classic Journey to the West. Shu Qi and Huang Bo are just so cool in their respective roles; very entertaining.

Summary: Almost masterpiece

Almost as good as "Chinese Odyssey" but darker and completely different in tone (it mixes broad comedy and quite scary horror themes). First time on my memory Monkey King is not a harmless trickster but violent, brutal monster, completely terryfying. The only letdown is underwritten romance although Wen Zhang and Shu Qi are both very good. Brilliant music, including love theme from "Chinese Odyssey".
