To get out of a debt to the local mob, out-of-work film director Sung Boon-chung—oh-so-cleverly named Wong Kar-wai—convinces “A-list” stars Wong Cham-sam (poorly imitating a petulant Shawn Yue) and Carmen Yeung (riffing on Charlene Choi) to appear in his new project, a Category III sex romp into which he plans to splice frottage footage of “models” Tam Kon-chung and Maria Tung Ling, at least until his triad financier gets wind of the deception. Protracted running time of 110 minutes is ridiculous for this kind of cheapo video production, and only serves to space the movie’s four monotonous sex scenes—the only reason you’re likely to be watching in the first place—that much further apart! Reaches new lows in production value by being the first film to be mostly shot using what appear to be security-style pinhole cameras—giving many scenes a pointless fish-eye effect!
