This is a standard Mainland kung-fu movie, the only new thing here is that the baddies are not the Englishmen but the Russians. Martial experts He Da-Hai (Li De-Yu) and Dong Fang-Xu (Li Jun-Feng) must fight "Russian Hercules" Datlov in a couple of so-so combats (the Chinese with their ancient techniques and the Russian with his brute force) which actually are a disappointing show. Ge Chun-Yan is wasted until the very last moment. The only interesting things of this movie are the realistic sets and martial trainings.
