Reviewed by: JUlibas Date: 10/22/2003 Summary: An hilarious comedy caper from John Woo Money Crazy is a funny caper film that was made during Woo's screwball comedy period. Ricky Hui portrays an inept bodyguard who's regarded as a jinx by his peers because of the unlike fates of his previous employers. Richard Ng stars as a money hungry P.I./con artist who crosses pathes one day with Ricky. Eventually the two form an uneasy bond. The two deciede to team up and rip-off a real sleazy precious gems dealer. As with all of John Woo's earlier films he uses action set pieces that would eventually end up in his later films. I enjoyed it very much and so will you. For John Woo fans. This movie is finally availible on DVD and it's in widescreen with easy-to-read subtitles. Check it out! A.

Then there are diamonds, double-crossers and counterfeit payoffs. It all gets pretty mixed-up, but the participants get what they deserve in the end -- more or less. [Reviewed by Rim Films Catalog]
