Bummer, eh?

Anyhoo, here's another review.

http://www.thestar.com/artsentertainment/article/168785

"But Dragon Boys is more than just an action ride; it's anchored by subtle yet powerful insights into cultural assimilation, generational conflict, personal identity and, most of all, the need to be an insider when you're seen as an outsider.

It is, in short, outstanding television."

If each of the author's "30 Signs You May Have Accidentally Joined an Asian Gang" are based on incidents in the series, I'm even MORE pissed now that I missed it!

I noticed over at IMDB that one of the AsianDVD forum members who works for Joy Sales is casually looking for a bite on behalf of his owners:

Of course, in all likelihood, it will end up on DVD in Canada first (legally anyways) as CBC is usually pretty good at releasing their more popular miniseries in the format. This one's a no-brainer since they're already in pre-production on the sequel up here.

I noticed the official site now has a little "tag" added to the main page offering "2-disk DVDs," but something just seems very odd about how it's been added to the site and only features a clickable email address. It's either a bootlegger, or the actual production company selling early DVDs at inflated prices. Either way, it's probably best to wait.
