Thanks for posting, Fan.

Still looking forward to seeing PERHAPS LOVE, I'm so behind on my current HK releases. Actually, I've only seen EVERLASTING REGRET, ELECTION and AH SOU :( of the nominees.

I think Ke Ke Xi Li's international title might be Ke Ke Xi Li: The Mountain Patrol

hey,

think the English title on the Asian prints did include "Mountain Patrol" as well. Internationally, they just switched it around. :)

Thank you, added.

I am adding all the nominations to the DB and I found that our Michelle Yip Suen cannot be "Michelle Ye" because she is working in movies from 1982, so she cannot be a "new performer". Split.

Careful. Alice Lau Ar-Lai won Best New Performer in 1994 for I Have a Date with Spring, yet she has credits back to the '80s.

Not sure what makes one eligible to be a new performer.

Found this:

Nominees of the Best New Performer award must have not participated in any Hong Kong Film playing a leading role or supporting role before the awards year, his/her eligible film can be more than one. Nominees of the Best New Performer also be eligible for nomination either for the “Best Actor/Actress” or “Best Supporting Actor/Actress” by the same film. If any dispute arise, the Voting Affairs Committee reserves the right for final decision.

http://www.hkfaa.com/nominee/regulation_e.html

The key must be what I've bolded above. The line seems to be drawn between an appearance vs supporting/leading roles.
