The film never got a dvd release for some reason... shame, I remember liking it.

I vaguely remember that shortly after I just bought a used copy of the LD a DVD was released. Not sure who put it out though. This was about three years ago(?)

Hmmm... it's news to me... and I can't find any evidence of one on Google :)

I recall at the time thinking: Oh, so that's why it's (the LD) for sale. What a dope I am for not checking for a new release.

However, I didn't look closely into the particulars of the DVD so I couldn't tell you who released it. I was kicking myself for getting a used LD when I could have have gotten the new DVD. That's how I remember it anyway. I suppose it could have been a vcd release, but I didn't think so. This would have been about the end of 2002 or early 2003 judging from what else I bought about the same time.

I don't think I imagined it, but who knows...

hey,

lookie here:

http://10.global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept ... 004037401/

Think some part of the fan base caught it on UK tape as it was released by Made In Hong Kong in the 90s (a tape I own).

hmmm, us.yesasia doesn't seem to carry the vcd!

It was also broadcast on UK tv at least once in the 90's... which is where I saw it. I recorded it at the time but the tape has probably rotted by now...

Thanks... wonder why I couldn't find it?

I should order it anyway, if only because history suggests that any time I cave in and order something on VCD, a DVD release will follow shortly
