Stumbled across this trailer this evening, thought the film was in the can over two years ago. Looks stylized beyond belief, but also kinda cool with it's Japanese-swordsman-(and cub? ;) )-meets-Old-West-gunslingers motif.

Actually, I'm surprised Hong Kong/Chinese filmmakers didn't jump on a concept like this in recent years (the SHANGHAI NOON comedies notwithstanding), as it's been centuries since the so-so ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA & AMERICA was released. Then again, considering the peculiar inability of most Chinese filmmakers to hire professional Caucasian actors (see RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN and AFTERSHOCK for the most recent egregious examples), maybe it's better this way . . . :(

Nice to see Ti Lung in there, too, though IMDB has yet to include him in their cast list.

Has any footage of this been put out there? I saw the trailer recently, and I KNEW I recognized it from somewhere, vaguely.

Also, I can't believe this has no reviews out. It comes out in about two weeks, and nothing. That and they sat on it for two years spells it out - crap. Too bad, as I love the Eastern Western crossovers.

If you haven't seen it, I suggest the Stranger and the Gunfighter to tide you over. Lee Van Cleef + Kung Fu = Win.
