301/302, from Korea. It's coming out on R1 DVD in a few weeks, theoretically (along with the similar and excellent Thai film 6ixtynin9).

There's a DVD of it available from koreandvds.com for only $3.18 US. I received it last week. It's pretty basic, and it's foolscreen, but for some reason it the compositions don't seem compromised. Not sure if this was a widescreen movie to start with, but perhaps this is open-matte.

Yipes, that is cheap! The film was meant to be 16:9 widescreen originally, I believe, but I've only seen it on the 4:3 Korean disc and I agree it didn't seem to matter.

Yeah, that place is fantatic for price reductions. That same shipment also contained Lars Von Trier' ZENTROPA (widescreen subbed!, despite FS on the packaging), Michael Powell's GONE TO EARTH, MONDO CANE (only crappy print in the batch), Alain Resnais' NIGHT AND FOG, TERMINAL STATION, Powell & Pressburgers THE LIFE AND DEATH OF COLONEL BLIMP (beautiful Criterion port), 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA and a couple of others I can't remember, all for about $4.71 US each!!!

Virtually every European or American movie I've purchased from them would appear to be direct ports of the R1 discs, often with many of the extras, so for the price, you can't go wrong.
