| Biography |

| | Born in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in November 1953. He joined the army in 1969 and moved to the China Conservatory of Music in 1983. He worked in the Ministry of Culture in 1984 and served as deputy secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee. |
