Born in Shanghai, he moved to Hong Kong in 1957; that same year is published his first novel, "Buried Alive". Next year he began his prolific career as chivalric fiction writer, and in 1962 he wrote his first science-fiction novel. But he has also written prose, essay, political criticism and film scripts. In short, more than 300 novels and 400 film scripts. He became President of the Hong Kong Writers Association. Trivia: His personal record are 4,500 characters/hour.
