Sleeping with the Dead

Summary: quite creepy

In 1999, Simon Loui Yu-Yeung appeared in about 33 films, many of them low budget DV productions. He appeared in 3 films for director Steve Cheng Wai-Man that set the stage for this collaboration a few years later. Loui was not content just acting in every movie, he was compelled to try his hand at screenwriting. He had some modest success with films like Paramount Motel and Killer while creating some juicy character's for himself to play.

In 2002, Simon Loui Yu-Yeung had enough clout to produce his screenplays and he hired Cheng, who had made a name for himself as a slick genre director. Underrated and overlooked, Sleeping with the Dead is a rather esoteric ghost story that features a grim-faced Jordan Chan Siu-Chun and Kelly Lin Hsi-Lei. The film is quite creepy as the director manages to capture the right atmosphere for the ghostly proceedings.

Summary: Sleeping and Dead

Yes, the words "Sleeping", and "Dead", are very appropriate for this movie. Although, the movie has its good points, I just couldn't stay awake long enough to see what they were. Watch with coffee, and write a better review than mine.
