The acting is dreadful and overdone, even by veteran Siu Yam Yam, who also had a role in production, possibly as scriptwriter. I'm puzzled by this, as her character is a most abrasive and unsympathetic individual. Even the voice she puts on is frightful. The story has the characters going through a number of abrupt and very silly changes. For instance, Shun is madly in love with Yung for most of the show, even to the extent of rejecting the advances of an old flame and going back toYung, her husband. But she suddenly capitulates to the old flame, and sneaks off to do the horizontal rhumba with him while Yung enjoys a winning streak at mahjong. When he catches them in the act, Shun gets mad and says the marriage is over. I concede this could happen in the real world, but it's hard to swallow in this scenario. The quality of the images is grainy and very cheap, and the print transfer makes it even worse. Which is a pity, because there are some very lovely images. Ruby Wong Jo Yi (not to be confused with Ruby Wong Cheuk Ling) is a luscious girl with a dreamy face, and I'm silly enough to watch her in anything, or preferably not in anything. And she doesn't disappoint. She gets all her gear off in several scenes, and the full frontal / sex scenes with Yung are the highlights of the film. These scenes are tenderly done, the music by which they screw suits the scene perfectly, and they at least create a convincing illusion of two people who are passionately in love, rather than two actors going through the motions. The nearly-as-lovely Wong Oi Mei strips off as well, though she shows full frontal more briefly. She cops most of the worst lines and silly inconstencies of the plot, and looks rather lost most of the time, but makes up for it by wearing and getting out of incredibly flattering low-cut dresses. There are one or two other obscure actresses who also do full frontal. Like every adequate porn, the nudity and sex starts early on and happens frequently, including at the end. This is where Love Chaser scores high marks. The first sex / full nude scene happens about nine minutes in, the last one is close to the end, and there's one about every ten minutes in between. Overall, this is certainly no classic, even compared with other cheapies. But there are many, many which are far worse, and not a bad way to pass 80 minutes or so. Reviewer Score: 4
