Summary: Killers can be Heroes too!

This little gem from 1969 is well worth a viewing or 2 or 3. While the title has a slightly negative feel to it, it is an excellent film and not negative at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the 80 minutes of this tale and it has action a plenty. Good story development, great action and fight scenes, well placed humour and top notch acting, in brief a great film.
The time just flies watching this film and I highly recommend it if you like action, swordplay films with a good plot well developed.
I can't wait to watch it again (it wont be too long until i do!).

My second Ching Gong film of the week, but this time he's channeling King Hu rather than Chang Cheh, and the film is all the better for it. A much stronger script, that somewhat recalls King Hu's VALIANT ONES, even though KILLERS FIVE was made 6 years earlier. Ching doesn't quite have King Hu's flair for characterisation or cinematography, but puts in a good effort. Some imaginative action scenes, with buckets of blood and gore. IVL's dvd has a thankfully unmolested sound mix, making the film all the more enjoyable to watch :)
