Summary: Tons of Kung Fu
Well I agree with the other reviewer that this starts off kind of lame. In fact I almost turned it off but I decided to stick it out and I'm glad I did.

First half of the movie is slow, dull and at some points downright stupid. But it's like a new director took over at the mid-point and said "OK wer'e gonna fight for the rest of the film." And fight they did. Splendidly. Blacky Ko really suprised me with his fight scenes. as Tan Tao Liang he is his usual remarkable high kicking self.
Its hard to rate the acting when watching a very poorly dubbed version, but from what I can see, Blacky Ko was probably the best in my opinion.
Tan Tao Liang aways looks like a ventrloquist's dummy to me so I rather seem him fight than act.
Overall an average film but the 2nd half makes this worth watching.

Summary: Why is no-one ever happy to see us ?
When three young men are volunteered for guard detail under Captain Lee, it seemed nearly everyone is out to get them, including some personable young beauties. With this setup and a great cast, this should have been a fun and fast paced romp.

Unfortunately it isn't nearly as good as it could have been. The fights are dull until the second half, when they improve considerably. Proceedings are rather dull and irritating in between fights, and the wooing antics of two of the leads grate a bit too much.
Having said that, the second half is pretty good, mainly as a result of frequent fights including some very talented and apparently unknown fighting fems. Grit your teeth through the first half and enjoy.
