Summary: something different

I just watched this movie again, a poorly english dubbed version where CArter wong has a indian accent and there are a lot of darken scenes, i am assuming to the poor quality version i saw

Its a simple revenge story/plot but what makes this better than other movies is that the good guys dont really have a chance beating the bad guys, but they come up with ways to beat them.

The bad guys are actually the more famous actors, Lo Lieh is one of the evil cheifs who's weapon is more than meets the eye. Carter wong is Invincible, unable to be hurt but conventional means and has a finishing move of a headbutt.

The action itself is better than average and is quite entertaining

Worth viewing, dont expect a plot but just enjoy the action

Summary: Well choreographed action from the Yuen's

An excellent 70's old school Taiwanese kung fu movie choreographed by the Yuens. Carter Wong uses Chi Kung to knock off many fighters, and everyone from Jack Lung, Lung Fei, and the rest of the Taiwanese regulars have to deal with him. The fight scenes are frequent, fast, and very technical. The stiff Carter Wong has never been this fluid and fast, thanks to the Yuen's choreography. Not the best story, but the choreograpy is excellent. ***1/2/****

Summary: Silly old school film but okay

Carter Wang plays a kung fu fighter who learns special techniques that make his body inpenetreble to blows, and his attacks are lethal to all the poor souls who try to stop his rampage. One by one several fighters from a school try to stop him but to no avail. Finally they discover he must have a weak point somewhere on his body--they just have to find it...

I saw this movie dubbed so I couldn't take it seriously. I like the campy music and there are lots of fights, but far from groundbreaking. And Carter's laugh in the dub--makes me want to laugh like that! But I like the idea they got to find his weak spot to get him, but the finale is so quick I have to slow it down to see what happened, but I got it. Good for chopsocky fans who like dubbed kung fu flicks, but there are better ones.

Summary: Terrific!

If there is a movie that deserves to be refered to as non-stop action, then Born invincible is certainly it. There is plenty of fights and they are all good. The first 2-3 fights are awesome and very innovative. What really makes this movie stand out against the others is that there is no stupid jokes and the film takes on a very serious tone. Just plain action, which is cool because the silly jokes could really spoil a good movie.
There is a scene that I like very much : when the big brother lost in a duel against the bad guy, he saved himself by temporarily blinding the other with some kind of powder. Later, he admitted to his brothers that he was a coward but instead of committing suicide, he went on traning so he could defeat the bad guy next time.

It was hard for me to find this movie. If you see it, buy it, it's worth every penny of your money.

Summary: Excellent

There are a few little thing which let this film down. There are a few talky sections which could have been clipped a bit, and amount to pointless grandstanding. Nancy Yen, despite a couple of valiant and short fight scenes, doesn't really contribute much.

But these are minor points. There is scene after scene of jaw-dropping, brilliant stuntwork, acrobatics, swordfighting and fu. Up there with the best.

Summary: Killer actions, man!

This movie started out with a great deal of promise. For instance, the first major fight between Jack Long and the 2 villains is easily the best fight I have ever seen in an old school movie. However, it gets worse by the minute, and the English dub is so terrible, especially the voice on Carter Wong. But do see it anyway, if only for the first fight, which is better than all the other fights put together.
