Summary: Limp
I know a few people who detest Michael Chow, and this film is a good one to confirm that point of view. I happen to think Mike is a very likeable actor, but this role doesn't suit him. Being a viewpoint character who talks to the camera simply doesn't work. The events in this film either don't hold interest or turn you off (for instance, a long series of scenes whose main feature is Mike vomiting. Yuk !).
There are some enjoyable moments provided by the support cast, including the always-welcome Yip Wing Cho and Si Gai Keung. But not enough to make it worth watching.

Slacker Douglas Ng decides to become a gigolo to make money in order to impress grade school sweetheart Joanne, now a currency speculator. Some interesting set shots, and a promising performance by Michael, but doesn't quite deliver. I might have enjoyed this movie a little more had I understood the puns being tossed about.
