Summary: Yawn

Minor interest at best. Beautiful soft focus, gently paced reminiscence (with frequent and often confusing flashbacks) of a formerly famous singer, her friends and their changing relationships over the years. Pleasant in places, but in no way remarkable or memorable.

A touching story about an aging songstress. Filled with romanceand a song and dance that marked an era-- this is a love story that will take you down memory lane.

Follows the lives of four women singers working at a nightclub during the turbulent Hong Kong of the late 1960's; and in particular the one singer who made it big, but had to sacrifice the love of her life. Told in a series of flashback sequences taking place over two decades. A bit sappy, but still well worth watching. Highlighted by strong performances from relatively unknown performers. I believe this was a successful play first.
