Just for Fun

Summary: 5/10-A few laughs

Probably the most interesting thing about this film is that Wong Kar-Wai co-wrote this. Apart from that, it's pretty much a standard comedy from the early 80s.

Anyways Frankie Chan is a rich playboy-in an amusing scene during the beginning he keeps flying his helicopter everywhere while his hapless servants chase after it-who, to his shock, finds that his father gave his inheritence away. Chan becomes reliant on Wu Ma, a butler of sorts, and falls in love with Sally Yeh, Wu Ma's daughter. However Chan gets mixed up with some baddies, and when they kidnap Yeh, it's up to him to rescue her.

There's a few amusing moments, and probably the funniest is when Chan opens a box, expecting all the documents of his father's business and property and ends up getting a "You gotta work hard, son!" scroll :) However, for most part this film isn't very interesting. There's too many flat parts, and by the end I got bored.
