This movie starts out so promising, but this mainlandproduction never seems to deliver (until the end when its too late and you are too bored). A young girl returns home to find her mother killed and her village slaughtered. She then comes across her father who is dying from being stabbed in the back. Her father tells her to warn the north village about the Japanese. She runs off to tell her grandfather, Kiang. Then the plot drags on. The basic story could be a set up for a great martial arts movie (which this is supposed to be). There is very little action except for the very end. The editing is poor. This story fails as either a kung fu flick or a drama. AVOID!!!
